CHARLESTON SAVANNAH CHRISTMAS TIME

On our way South we travel through North Carolina, South Carolina and on into Georgia. We arrive late this afternoon to spend the next two nights in Savannah with its many Shops and Restaurants along the Savannah River all decorated for Christmas. Tonight we will treat you to dinner at “Lady & Sons Restaurant” in the Historic District of Savannah. We spend the night in Savannah.

This morning we meet our Local Guide for a Tour of the City’s Historic District and Riverfront Areas. The tour begins at the Savannah Visitor’s Center and Historic Museum. The Tour will take you through the 2.2 square mileNational Historic District of one of the most beautiful cities in America. This afternoon you will have free time for some shopping in the shops along the Savannah River across the street from your Hotel. This evening we will see “A Christmas Tradition” at the Savannah Theatre. We spend another night in Savannah.

This morning we will leave Savannah and head for another historic city – Charleston. This afternoon we will Tour Charleston’s Most Famous Plantation – Magnolia Plantation. This famous plantation comes alive with Christmas decorations everywhere. After we check into our Hotel, we will treat you to dinner at a local Charleston restaurant. We spend the next two nights in this beautiful city.

This morning our City Tour begins at the Visitor’s Center where we will pick up our Local Guide. Our Tour includes the Battery’s Historic Sights as well as the Market where Local Merchants and Vendors display and sell their crafts. You will have ample time after the Tour to have Lunch and browse around in this very unique Market area. This evening we will experience St. John’s Island Annual Holiday Festival of Lights with over two million shim- mering lights. This 3-mile riding tour brings more and more light displays year after year, with nearly 600 displays shining bright.

This morning we will head for Home with visions of what it must have been like in these old Historic Southern Cities -Charleston and Savannah – at Christmas time in years gone by!!
