1 SHENANDOAH VALLEY / BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS
We leave today and make our way through the Shenandoah Valley into the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where we stay in Wytheville, Virginia.
2 CHATTANOOGA
We make our way South today travelling through Tennessee and arriving in Chattanooga where we will spend the next 3 nights. Tonight, we treat you to a Dinner Cruise in the Southern Belle Riverboat.
3 TRAIN ADVENTURE
Today we enjoy a 6-hour ride aboard the Chickamauga Turn to the historic Civil War town of Chickamauga, Georgia. During the trip, you will enjoy a 90-minute layover in downtown Chickamauga, where you can visit the historic Crawfish Springs, pay to see the Gordon-Lee Mansion, or enjoy shopping in the downtown shops. Lunch today will be included on the train. Tonight, dinner will be provided for you at a local restaurant.
4 ROCK CITY / INCLINE RAILWAY / RUBY FALLS
This morning, we ride the Incline Railway. This 72 percent grade railway takes you for a bird’s eye view at the top of Lookout Mountain. Afterward, we make our way to Rock City located atop Lookout Mountain! Rock City is a true marvel of nature featuring massive ancient rock formations, gardens with over 400 native plant species, and breathtaking “See Seven States” panoramic views. Before we depart Lookout Mountain, we descend 260 feet by glass-front elevator for a guided walk along the paved half-mile cavern trail; for a close-up view of thundering Ruby Falls, the worlds largest underground waterfall! Before heading back to our hotel, we will make a quick stop at Moon Pie General Store. Dinner will be provided tonight at Champy’s World Famous Fried Chicken.
5 TENNESSEE AQUARIUM / WYTHEVILLE
Before departing Chattanooga today, we will visit the Tennessee Aquarium. Within their two buildings, you’ll trace the path of water from the mountains to the sea. Come face-to-face with the fascinating native animals that live in our backyards and the amazing creatures that thrive in some of the most remote locations on Earth. This afternoon we will make our way back to Virginia for our final night in Wytheville.
6 HOMEWARD BOUND
We depart this morning heading home with wonderful memories of Chattanooga, TN.
