1 SCRANTON PA
We begin our adventure by traveling through the scenic countryside of Virginia, Maryland & Pennsylvania where we will spend the night near Scranton, PA.
2 UTICA NY:
Today we travel to Utica, NY where we will enjoy a tour at Saranac Brewery, which is the first brewery in the nation to sell beer at the end of Prohibition in 1933. This evening, you will be treated to dinner at Babe’s Restaurant at Harbor Point. This casual American restaurant is a must see, with its colorful boots, posters & neon signs, this is a can’t miss! We will overnight in Utica.
3 RAIL AND SAIL
This morning, we will depart from Utica’s Union Station where we will enjoy a one way 2-hour ride on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad. You will 5 Days travel the remote forests, past sparking rivers, ponds and streams into the magnificent beauty of the 6-million-acre Adirondack Wilderness. This afternoon, you will have some free time to explore the Village of Old Forge and its many unique gift shops. This long-standing staple has served as a bustling center of commerce for more than 100 years! Today, we will also tour Great Camp Sagamore, which is where American’s most influential people came to take a break from the clamor of modern life. This historic tour of the 27 building and grounds are sure to impress! We will treat you to dinner on the Raquette Lake Dinner Cruise before returning back to our hotel in Utica for the night.
4 HERSHEY PA
We depart New York this morning and make our way back into Pennsylvania where we will stop in Hershey, PA also known as Chocolate town U.S.A. We will visit Chocolate World and the Hershey Museum to make our last night on the road a little sweeter before checking into our hotel.
5 HOMEWARD BOUND
We travel back home today through Pennsylvania & Maryland before returning to Virginia with all the wonderful memories of the beauty of the Adirondacks!
