1 SHENANDOAH VALLEY / BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS
We leave today and make our way through the Shenandoah Valley and into the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where we stay in Wytheville.
2 MEMPHIS TN
We depart this morning heading south traveling into Tennessee. We’ll pass by Knoxville and then into Nashville where we will have lunch. This afternoon we arrive in Memphis and check into the Guest House at Graceland for the next two nights. This evening we will enjoy the Elvis Blue Christmas Holiday Dinner with a live band, back-up singers, full stage lighting and sound. As well as one of America’s best known tribute artists. You’ll hear such great songs as “Merry Christmas Baby,” “White Christmas,” “I’ll be home for Christmas,” and many other traditional Holiday Songs all performed in the classic Elvis-Style including the title song “Blue Christmas.” You can be sure a few of his greatest hits will be featured too.
3 CITY TOUR
This morning we will enjoy a tour of the city that includes St. Jude’s Pavilion, an architecturally unique building containing memorabilia of the late entertainer Danny Thomas, the founder of St. Judes hospital. Then you ride the elevator 28 stories to the top of the Memphis Pyramid. You will also have time to visit the Great Cypress Swamp and shop in the Bass Pro Shop. Tonight is the highlight of your tour, as we tour Graceland at night! Holiday decorations just aren’t the same in the daylight as they are at night. You will see traditional lights and decorations including hundreds of blue lights along the driveway, a life-size Nativity scene and Santa on his sleigh. The interior is decked out in Christmas décor and includes his traditional red velvet drapes and the Presley family Christmas artifacts – just as they were displayed by Elvis. This evening also includes a buffet dinner in the new Elvis Presley Motors Automobile Museum where you are surrounded by an awesome collection of hot cars, motorcycles,and toys. Plus we visit the “Elvis the Entertainer” Career Museum with artifacts: photos, gold records and costumes. You also have time to see the Elvis Discovery Exhibits showcasing the influences and important things in his life.
4 WYTHEVILLE
Today we depart Memphis and make our way to Wytheville for the night.
5 HOMEWARD BOUND
Well, it’s One for the money, Two for the show, Three to get ready, Now go, Cat, go as we depart this morning singing Elvis all the way home….
