1 GETTYSBURG:
We depart today making our way into Pennsylvania, where we will arrive in Gettysburg and check into our hotel for the next 2 nights. Tonight, we visit the Dobbin House Tavern where we will enjoy dinner at one of Gettysburg’s oldest and most historic homes. Our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, comes to life tonight as he joins us to discuss his now famous Gettysburg Address!
2 BATTLEFIELD TOUR:
Our full day in Gettysburg begins at the Gateway Theatre, where we will see the movie “Fields of Freedom”. Next we visit the Gettysburg National Military Park Visitors Center where we will see their extensive museum about Gettysburg and Civil War. This afternoon, we joined by a local guide for a Battlefield Tour. We will see all the monuments and cannons dedicated to the Union and Confederate Soldiers who fought there. You will see where the battle started, follow its progression as the guide brings the battle to life and its inevitable closing. Tonight, we are treated to a dinner at historic Farnsworth House.
3 NORTHERN CENTRAL RAILWAY / HERSHEY:
We depart Gettysburg today and make our way towards New Freedom, PA where we will board the Northen Central Railroad. We enjoy a 2.5 hour ride on the Hanover Junction Flyer taking us back to the 1860’s when President Abraham Lincoln rode these tracks on his way to Gettysburg to deliver the Gettysburg Address. This afternoon, we make our way to Hershey, PA where we will visit Hershey’s Chocolate Wold. Here we enjoy Hershey’s Great Candy Expedition, Make your own Candy Bar, and more! We spend the night in the Hershey, PA area for the next 2 nights.
4 HERSHEYPARK:
This morning we make our way over to Hershey Park where you will have a full day to enjoy the theme park. From the live entertainment , to shopping, roller coaster, and even Zoo America, this park has something for everyone.
5 HOMEWARD BOUND:
We depart this morning making our way home with memories of Historic Gettysburg and our belly’s full of Chocolate!
