1 MARYLAND / PENNSYLVANIA / NEW YORK
Today we head North through Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York on our way to the Stoweflake Mountain Lodge in Vermont. We spend the night in Latham NY.
2 SHELBURNE MUSEUM / DAKIN FARMS / VERMONT / STOWEFLAKE MOUNTAIN LODGE / DINNER AT THE LODGE
This morning we head into Vermont where we visit the Shelburne Museum, a remarkable 45-acre reconstruction of three centuries of early American life. At Dakin Farms we will see how time-honored skills and century old tradition combine with the most modern smokehouse facilities to produce ham, cheddar cheese, pure Vermont maple syrup and other specialty foods known the world over. Tonight we are treated to a special New England dinner, in the surroundings of the Stoweflake Mountain Lodge where we will be staying the next two nights.
3 BREAKFAST / MONTPELIER / MORSE SUGAR FARM / AFTERNOON TEA AT STOWEFLAKE MOUNTAIN LODGE / DINNER AT THE LODGE
After a hearty breakfast, we begin the day by visiting Morse Sugar Farm and the capitol, Montpelier for lunch. Later we visit the Stoweflake Mountain Lodge, where we will enjoy afternoon Tea and some free time before an Austrian Style Dinner.
4 BREAKFAST / PORTER MUSIC BOX COMPANY / ROBERT TODD LINCOLN'S MANSION / ALBANY, NY
Another great breakfast is in store for you at the Lodge this Morning. In Randolph, we visit the Porter Music Box Company. Porter Music Boxes are fashioned after the heirlooms of Victorian Europe and America. They are world renowned for being an elegant and superior musical instrument. Next, we stop at Hildene, the stately home of Robert Todd Lincoln. The Georgian Revival Mansion contains original furnishings, a 1,000 pipe organ and family memorabilia. We spend the night in Latham, New York.
5 HEADING HOME
Today we head south for home with all of our fond memories of the beautiful sights in Vermont, as well as along the way. We will always remember our delightful visit to the Stoweflake Mountain Lodge.
