1 WARM SPRING / BULLOCH HOUSE
Today we travel from Virginia through the Carolinas into Warm Springs, GA. This afternoon we dine where Southern Hospitality is at its best because it’s known for being a way of life at the Bulloch House Restaurant. Nestled in the charming downtown area we’ll dine on delicious southern food of meats, fresh vegetables and mouth watering desserts with an authentic “Old South” Flare. After dinner we head onto our hotel for the three nights.
2 BIBLICAL HISTORY CENTER / SKY HIGH BALLOON FESTIVAL
Today we start at the Biblical History Center, experience a guided tour of the Archaeological Replica and be able to walk thru and see the Biblical Life Artifacts Gallery with 250 artifacts of the National treasures of Israel. For lunch we treat you to a Biblical Meal with a 15 food item meal of Foods that were available in the ancient world. This afternoon we head to the Sky High Balloon Festival for fun. Enjoy the outdoor activities, stroll through the gardens and then enjoy the evening with the Balloon Glow, food trucks and possibly a tethered balloon ride!
3 MORNING BALLOON LAUNCH / CALLAWAY GARDENS
This morning we return to Callaway Gardens for the second day of the Sky High Balloon Festival. Watch as a heap of material laid out on the ground slowly fill with air and create these gorgeous round balloons that will lift off the ground with the grace and peaceful exuberance that we all wish we had. Afterward we’ll visit the Natural wonder of one of the most beautiful Georgia Botanical Gardens with a guided tour then time on your own to explore. Callaway Gardens is as much about history as it is flora and fauna, it’s your day to explore, learn, and take in both a rich past and the wonders of nature. This afternoon we tour FDR’s Little White House in Warm Springs, GA. Visitors can tour FDR’s home, which has been carefully preserved very much as he left it, the servants and guest quarters, and the nearby pools complex that first brought the president to Warm Springs. This evening we enjoy dinner at Callaway Gardens.
4 HOMEWARD BOUND
After breakfast, we head back to Virginia with fond memories of these colorful displays.
