On our way to Richmond, Virginia, we stop by Charlottesville for a look at Thomas Jefferson’s Home – Monticello. After stopping at the State Capitol Building in Richmond we spend the night in Richmond.
The next morning we proceed to Reedville, Virginia, which is situated on the Chesapeake Bay. At Reedville we board the “Chesapeake Breeze” for a 1 3/4 Hour Narrated Cruise to Tangier Island. Tangier is a romantic destination for those who would like to see a largely Unspoiled Fishing Village with its Quaint Narrow Streets. Although modernization has come to the Island it still has not lost its charm. The people of Tangier are warm, friendly and proud of their Island. They live here because they like the lifestyle of Tangier and have no desire to live on the mainland. Tangier is considered the “Soft Shell Crab Capital of the World”. During our visit to Tangier we enjoy a Family Style Lunch sure to include Crab Cakes!
