1 AIRPORT TRANSPORT / LAS VEGAS:
Today we fly out of Charlotte, North Carolina to Fabulous Las Vegas where a Sunshine Motorcoach awaits us. We Spend the next two nights in Las Vegas.
2 LAS VEGAS:
A local guide will join us today for a little history on how Las Vegas came be known as the “Entertainment Capital of the World.” This evening will be free for you to enjoy this “City of Lights.”
3 ARIZONA / COLORADO RIVER:
This morning we will leave the “glitz and glamour” of Las Vegas behind and get our kicks on Route 66 heading to Williams, Arizona. After crossing the Colorado River in Laughlin, we visit the small town of Seligman then onto Williams, Arizona for the night.
4 GRAND CANYON RAILWAY:
All Aboard! Today we depart Williams, Arizona on the Grand Canyon Railway. This short journey will take us through the Kaibab National Forest on the Grand Canyon National Park where our motorcoach will meet us to continue through the National Park. Wespend the night in Cameron, Arizona along the Little Colorado River.
5 GLEN CANYON DAM / PAGE, ARIZONA:
This morning we visit the Glen Canyon Dam Project located along the Colorado River. We will tour this facility that houses two of the largest electrical generation units in the Western United States. We will spend the night in Page, Arizona.
6 MONUMENT VALLEY / MOAB, UTAH:
Today we travel through the picturesque red sand desert region. We will stop at Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park Visitor Center to learn about the Navajo Nation. We continue north to Moab, Utah for the night.
7 ARCHES NATIONAL PARK / CONYONLANDS NATIONAL PARK:
This morning we will see the beautiful scenery of Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. This evening we will enjoy a Cowboy Style Dutch Oven Dinner before boarding a boat for the Sound and Light Show on the Colorado River. Afterwards we return to Moab for another night.
8 DENVER / COLORADO SPRINGS:
Today we make our way to the Mile High City after crossing through the Eisenhower Tunnel at an elevation of 11,158 feet which is the highest point along the Interstate Highway System. After traveling through the Rockies, we stop by the Capital Complex in Denver before we overnight in Colorado Springs.
9 BOOT HILL / DODGE CITY:
Today we will enjoy the old western town of Boot Hill. While we are here, we will visit the museum, have dinner, and enjoy the Long Branch Variety Show. We will spend the night in Dodge City, Kansas.
10 ROUTE 66 / SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI:
Today we are back on Route 66 as we head to Joplin, Missouri where we will drive by the Bonnie and Clyde hide out. We will then make our way to Springfield for the night.
11 MERAMEC CAVERNS / MOUNT VERNON:
Come hide out with us just like Jesse James as we visit the Meramec Caverns. This 4.6-Mile-long cavern houses the rarest and largest cave formation in the world. After our tour we will make our way to Mount Vernon, Illinois for the night.
12 HOMEWARD BOUND:
Today we travel home through Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia with wonderful memories of America’s Southwest.
